My name is Scott M. Fisher and I am a interested in things related to innovation, problem solving, new products, new materials, and how to create new products. I work for a division of a Fortune 50 company. My role is as a scientist and product developer targeting the plastics industry. I am particularly interesting in how new materials/technolgies are commercialized and how they affect peoples lives. You will also see new science and technologies that people have yet to decide how to commercialized and/or whether they will impact our lives.
As for my Academic background, I am a Chemical Engineer by training. I did my BS/MS from University fo South Florida, Tampa, FL and my PhD from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Amherst, MA. I have technical experience in a lot of areas and always believed a broad knowledge base coupled with the ability to solve problems was a good thing to have. You’ll see in my Resume (if you are interested) a variety of fields and skills. Like most engineers, I like solving problems whether they be related to science, commercial, materials, programming, people, processes, or other. I am usually an early adopter of technologies and am always on the look out for new things that help me solve problems or do things more efficiently.
